Munich Day 4 - Wednesday

Today we went further afield to Schloss Nyphenburg - quite an impressive building and acres of parkland/gardens. This involved getting a train and tram... which was relatively easy and a pleasant, if short journey.

The day hadn't intended to be a 'birdy' one but we did have some good 'spots' - a family of Pochards being the first one

Several Bar-headed geese

13 Goosanders

Badenburg (in the grounds) being the bathing hall and first heatd tiled pool... surrounded by a viewing gallery!

And luckily having wondered what a couple of people were pointing at up in the tree, we discovered a juvenile Tawny Owl... woo hoo :D

Magdalenenklause

 Pagodenburg

Amalienburg

By now we needed a drink - and a red squirrel was eatng the hazelnuts growing on a nearby tree!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day and an excellent lunch in the Cafe.

And off out to eat in the evening:

Still left with more to see, we decided we would return the next, and last, day.....
