My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

West Dean Gardens and Tillington village.

Woo hoo - it's holiday time.  Weather a bit humid today  - we had a visit to West Dean Gardens  - they were looking lovely as usual.

and the nearby church which is accessible from the gardens...

Long time since I've seen one of these.... ;)

Wonderful to see a family of Goldchrests..... so hard to photograph though so just a record shot!

Still a bit early for lunch so we headed of for a visit to Lurgashall Winery... where we had some very nice soup - Pea &Creme Fraiche and Carrot & Butternut Squash with bread and a drink.  I tried a thimblefull of Elderberry Wine and Silver Birch... the Elderberry was far too sweet but the Silver Birch wasn't bad at all .

So off again and, having noticed All Hallows Church, at Tillington on previous journeys, I actually made it for a visit today

The old Post Office and a phone box in Tillington.  The phone box is now being used as an information centre.
