All quiet at RSPB Pulborough & Warnhan LNR

Had the usual little flock of juvenile Goldfinches on the feeders this morning.

and then I headed off to Pulborough.  It was very still initially... Managed to see 5 Black-winged Stilts, 4 Avocets and at least 4 Green Sandpipers...

A Common Blue - quite a few of these about

A red admiral... don't see these as often as I'd like to...

One of the 5 Black-winged Stilts - just a record shot!

Brown Hawker (male)

Just as I was about to get a better angle for the grasshopper, one of the Dads tried to catch it to show it to his son!!!!!!!!!

Roses on the way out.

And later on a trip to Warnham.  Very quiet and not a single Tern about... methinks they must have now left.  Caught sight of two adult Great Crested Grebes but only 2 young.. I shall keep looking..

The only participants under the feeders was this family of Mallard ducks - 4 little ones and Mum!
