Florence Day 3 - A trip to Fiesole - Monday 23 March

Today promised to be the best weatherwise, so we caught the bus and headed off to Fiesole. Fiesole is at the top of a very very steep hill.... and even when in the town.... you climb higher and higher.

The views were amazing but just a pity that it was still such a hazy day despite the lovely sunshine .. :D

There was a musem here and also Roman and Etruscan remains... because of tree felling and fallen trees we couldn't visit the area though..

but the views made every step worthwhile...

Quacks and Ponders (with friend Pete :) ) hanging on tightly.... it was quite breezy and there's a sheer drop the other side of this wall..

and then out... we walked down a slightly different way through a wooded garden... lots of tree work going on... pruning and felling trees.

Caught the bus back down to Florence for some lunch.... and a further wander for the afternoon

Rather fun for a street bin!!...

Had dinner at Ciro & Sons - always very very good.... :)
