Florence Day 4 - Certaldo Alto - Tuesday 24 March

Another day out... Today we caught the train and headed off for Certaldo Alto - seemed a relatively painless exercise but Florence station is large... the ticket machines take forever to produce the tickets  - but did in the end...  We inquired about our train and there it was :D

We walked up from the station which is in the 'new' town and headed for the funicolar - which was closed.  But there was a 'shuttle' bus as an alternitve. slightly longer but an easy ride up to the top which was the old town.

It's a pretty town but, what we hadn't realised, was that most of the 'attractions' were shut on a Tuesday.... this may be because it's out of main tourist season.

Nonetheless we had a good wander...
