Day 9 Pisa and sadly, time to go home

Well, packed, had breakfast, checked out of hotel.  Took the shuttle bus to Pisa Airport and left our bags then headed out via the bus, to Pisa and the Piazza dei Miracoli.  We've done this quite often now and new exactly where to get the buses etc... despite the ticket machine not working!!!

then off for a wander through the streets of Pisa

and finally to the Botanical Gardens..

We were walking and thinking about lunch.. Pete said .. ' ok this is the way we go' and found, faultlessly the restaurant we'd had lunch at on the last visit.  So a final meal of pasta and then to the station.  There was a shuttle bus service running..  sound familiar?

Finally on the plane and back home... Easter Weekend... and the clocks went forward the day we got back.. so kept watches at the same time.. so no probs of adjustment.

Wonderful holiday, beautiful weather. lots of amazing places to visit, great wildlife, and excellent company...

This will not be the last visit to Italy and certainly not the last visit to Florence!!
