A wet visit to Standen...

Ironically two years ago today, I was also visiting Standen .. the weather was  bit better than today's generally.


Wet and dreary today... some colour provided by Kaffe Fassett, An American born artist.  Inspired in Scotland and by the colours in the landscape  he found the same colours in yearns when on a visit to a Scottish Wool Mill.   On the way back from Scotland to London, a fellow passenger taught him how to knit..

Not particularly my 'thing' but it certainly brightened up a very dull day!!

The house was dressed for a Victorian Christmas.. this room however was a 1950's Christms

Good to get out for a breath of fresh air....
