Hit & miss day but ended well

Up with Pete this weekend.  The forecast was for cold, but wall-to-wall sunshine.  We couldn't make up our minds on several options as to what to do, but given the good forecast we went to Hyde Park to look for birds and hopefully Little Owls.

We got there... it was very dull, . the sun was nowhere to be seen, then it started to rain .. hey ho... decided to call it a day and headed back after a visit to a couple of camera shots.

Pete was surfing on his phone (in this event I was tooooo critical) - and discovered there were Waxwings not far from where we had parked the car when we left on the train.

So the day got better as I managed to get some record shots of said Waxwings (hadn't got the dSLR so used the bridge camera - hence records shots only) ..

so all's well that ends well...
