In Worthing in the rain.. with Ben Bear

I have Ben Bear staying with me for a short while.  He is evident on Twitter and is raising awareness (and donations) for the very worthy cause of Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre South West Ltd.

So today, albeit a very very wet one, Mr Ponders and I took Ben into Worthing as I had to go there for various reasons.  It was raining as we left.. I think they would both have dived back under the duvet if allowed!!

However, now suitably dressed for wet weather, we walked along the pier for a short way..

Having done the shopping before this, we were getting hungry.. so Ben was introduced to one of our favourite beach-side cafes.. where we had a sandwich and a cuppa coffee...

We had a short walk along by the beach.. this huge lump of tree trunk is a recent addition.. presumably washed up by the tide..

Although it was getting brighter, somehow sitting on the beach probably wasn't the most attractive thing to do today!!

Hopefully the weekend will bring some better weather for us all!!!

I love walking in bad weather, always have. With good waterproofs, no problem. Apart from the shoes. I don't have good waterproof shoes!

Ah. Brought back boyhood memories of the pebble beaches holidaying at Hastings.
