Churches, a castle, and a park

Pete's down this way for a couple of days before.... watch this space..!!

So, first on the list, off to the Portsmouth area for some churches

At Cosham St Philip

Quite amazing!!

and within a couple miles, at Southwick was St James

The Post Office in Southwick

Boarhunt, St Nicholas

I believe these are Marsh Marigolds?... (Maurice.. your help is needed once again :)   )

Amazing old yew tree, thought to be over 1,000 years old

The inside of the tree so rotted away I could stand in the middle of it.

At Titchfield, St. Peter

Awwww

and final church was at Porchester Castle.. right on the coast at Portsmouth

From there, as Petworth was on the way home, we stopped for a scone & a cuppa and a short walk

Lovely day out even if the sun had deserted us...
