My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

I started off this afternoon at Warnham LNR..it was quite quiet, but unusually, there were 4 Mute swans on the lake.. I understand from a reliable source that 11 had been there earlier and then some go chased off by the territorial male.

The sun shone for a bit as I got there..

I saw the swans as I walked into the hide but camera wasn't set up correctly for the whiteness of swans.. so some grabbed shots

I met a friend at Warnham, who suggested that Ifield (Ifield Water Ponds and Water Gardens) might have more happening so we headed off there.

Lots of birds about, and at least 3 pairs of courting Great Crested Grebes.  The light wasn't good generally.. just occasional we had a shaft of sunlight

A few cormorants about..

I took so many pics, so these are just a few of them.  Thank you Dave for showing me around, and for your company :)

The colour of Grebes' sides always intrigues me, a sort of tan-violet-grey!
