A long overdue visit to Denmans Gardens

A visit to the Dentist this morning - got the all clear :D that's that then for another 6 months :D

The so where to this afternoon?  It was cloudy but bright so decided a visit to Denmans Gardens was in order.  Haven't been there for ages!!  It consists of:

a Garden Sales Area, (which is like a garden in itself).. The Gardens and an award winning cafe

So a stroll around the Sales Area....

and then, sitting outside, a Panini and Apple juice (the cake selection was amazing and looked excellent - but I resisted)  - a Robin visited

then I headed off around the garden.. It's an amazingly tranquil place and so much to see as you wander through. So many trees, shrubs and plants and such a variety!!

Unfortunately the bright sky went and dark clouds gathered - in fact it had started raining by the time I left.

I also met the gardener who must be congratulated on keeping the garden so beautifully.  He was also a keen birder and told me about Bullfinches that visited every year.. not there that I saw today though..

Around the pond.  There was a coot with two young..

I don't know what these flowers are but they were beautiful.. and the bees seemed to like them as way.. many collecting from the flowers..

 A songster..

The Conservatory

and a couple of Long-tailed tits flitted through the tree above me...

The time on the clock indicated it wasn't working..

and that, was that...  The rain really started now so I headed off.... a wonderful couple of hours escape!
