Highfield Gardens and Nymans..

Had most of the day free today... so I went over to Highdown Gardens - which are built on a chalk hilside so all plants hve to be happy with chalky conditions.

It was HOT.. but humid so not a pleasant day for the hottest day so far this year!

At last - a flutter!

Lovely visit... and then onto Nymans Gardens (a bit of lunch.. very expensive I thought for what I had today)... the was a flower festival in the house... not many of the rooms are open following a fire some years ago.

The Wysteria arch was full of blooms!

and that was that.!! very pleasant wander..
