WWT Arundel - a short visit..

Popped over to Arundel today - needed to escape from trips to the dump etc... fun eh!!

No sign of the Swallows that were nest building in the Reed Bed Hide... shame..

Very quiet in terms of birds... time of the year methinks..

Lots of young Mallard ducklings about - one of four on the Reed Bed Walk

Moorhen chicks - one of three

And the (collection) Trumpeter Swans had produced three young..

From the Sand Martin Hide... a couple of  Terns.. windows are kept shut at this time of the year, so photographed through the window!

Mallard preens trying to hide.. going into eclipse it seems..

A family of Canada Geese - 11 all told!

Lovely to have some sunshine and warmth back after the last few days of grey, rain and wind.

Lovely to see photos of all the young birds Tricia. The mallard ducklings are particularly cute :)
