Sadly our last full day today.
We started off visiting Broadway. Probably the most typical of the Cotswolds villages. The weather wasn't kind - dry but very grey today.
And the Broadway offered a rather nice wine shop - where Pete succumbed by purchasing a bottle or two....
and from there on to Snowshill Garden - the house was tours only and as we'd been inside before we opted for a wander around the gardens....
The Full English brekkie's at the hotel have been so good that today only a scone for lunch. A fruit scone which was very nice and scores 4 out of 5.
Late morning we headed off for Chipping Camden for a wander. And discovered a rather nice cheese and wine shop... we were very good and didn't succomb this time.
Walked up to the St James Church - strangely I've never visited the church before..
and our final destination for the day was Hidcote - the first Gardens that the National Trust acquired - and always a favourite.
The cafe closed at three so we had an afternoon cuppa and - yes you've guessed a fruit scone - which was a good one.... 4.5 out of 5 :)
and then a wander around the gardens....
