A Church then on to Sissinghurst Castle Gardens

Day before the holidays and we were off to sunny Kent to visit Sissinghurst Gardens...

Pete had a church he wanted to visit en route, so first stop was St Mary the Virgin at Minster in Thanet..  pretty village

This small stained glass window is 700 years old and the only original window of the church

and then on to Sissinghurst

First stop .. for a scone and a cuppa

before having a wander

These two canine visitors must have had a very long walk..

Lovely day out.. Sissinghurst is a great garden with amazing planting.. but perhaps for me.. and this is a very personal view.. it's a bit too formal..
