Day 3 The Little Chapel and other venues

We started off with a return visit to the Little Chapel .. which is purported to be the smallest chapel in the world.. it's recently undergone some restoration and, luckily for us, the scaffolding had very recently been removed.  The chapel is decorated mostly with sea shells, broken bits of china and pebbles.

and our 2nd venue of the day was a visit to St Saviours Reservoir  It was a good walk around the 3 legs of the reservoir and the bird song was wonderful - although we didn't see that many birds!

The dam in the distance

and from there, we went to Cobo for some lunch..

before going on to Saumarez Park

which houses the Folk and Costume Museum (a National Trust property)

Several mallards joined us while we had a welcome drink... Mrs Mallard being just one of them

And then out to the coast again where our last visit of the the day was to Fort Homment

with its WW2 gun emplacement

A German War bunker

and as we walked away, a nice sighting of a Painted Lady butterfly.

Another fascinating day with so much variety!
