I haven't had much free time lately for one reason or another, but today I managed to escape for a bit and headed off for West Dean Gardens.. not been for a couple of months!!

Day started cool but, despite the strong breeze, the temperature rose and it turned out to be yet another lovely Autumn day!

Restoration work to the roof being carried out...

 

and a short stop at Benbow Pond on the way home... fairly quiet in terms of birds.

Nice to stretch my legs and get out for a bit!!
