My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Cambridge Botanical Gardens on 26 January 2019

Cambridge University boasts a fascinating 40-acre Botanical Gardens, hosting over 8,000 species of plants including the region's finest collection of trees.

And on Saturday 26 Jan, Pete and I met our friends Rebecca and Stuart there; Stuart being a regular visitor.  It was my first visit.  And I was very impressed!

It was cold but we had occasional sun which really brightened the day.

Wonderful displays of snowdrops and lots of winter colour throughout.

Friends.. :)

Lunchtime and some really tasty lemon cake.  The food in the cafe looked very tempting but my appetite wasn't at its best..

Daphne.. the scent is amazing.

January - and all this colour

A wooden 'walkway' the lines of which really flowed and worked well.

Then in the afternoon, Pete & I headed off for a wander around Saffron Walden

before having a meal then off to a concert at Saffron Walden Hall.
