Camera shy

Not a lot happening on the birding front in the last couple of days. Pleased to say though, that the female Great Spotted Woodpecker is still visiting the garden; the Nuthatch paid a visit this morning and yesterday, the Goldfinch numbers were in excess of 22!!

She's a bit shy......

*note to self: must clean the windows!*

What a charming picture, but maybe she is only playing hide and seek with Mr GSW?

Glad to hear Mrs Woodie is still visiting Tricia :)

All's quiet here too, most likely due to me being back at work, I don't have the chance to see anything anyway.

So cute. I really like that feeder. Haven't come across any like that.

oc - The feeder's made from terracotta and the mesh is steel. It's squirrel proof ;) (I think it's made by Mason Cash??)

Just found your blog through Border Reiver's blog - what beautiful photos - love the swallow fledglings that you've got as your header! Miranda

Hi Miranda; welcome and thank you for your comments:)

The swallows were "sharing" our accommodation when I was on holiday in Devon in 2007 and I watched them being fed on many days.
