Wow - the sun shone today. In a mad moment I decided to clean my car - this was the first time it had ever been cleaned and survived the shock without falling to bits!
So, thought I, I can't stay in whilst the sun is out so after a quick sandwich at lunchtime I headed off for Richmond Park.
Large herds of both Red and Fallow deer still in their usual haunts. The rut is moreorless over now and, whilst the stags are still with the hinds and youngsters, the frenetic behaviour of the last few weeks is a thing of the past.
Not many birds about where I was, but some starlings were catching the rays of the sun as I headed back to the car.
I was then on my way to Claremont Landscape Gardens for some Autumn colour, when the clouds came over together with the rain. So that was that for my day's outing!!
I think this is my favourite of the day.
Pleased to have got this pose. I'd have preferred a better view for this shot, so after taking a few I started to move around - very cautiously. But, as anticipated, I disturbed the youngster's meal!
