Music on a Monday with a walk in the park!

It was concert day today... one of the few on a weekday, so a nice long weekend.  The sun shone as we headed up to London.

After some much needed brekkie at Pret... (porridge with honey for me.) we then started off with a walk through Hyde Park to St. James Park - it was cold but gloriously sunny...

Hmmm... wonder who this is?

One of Selfridges windows in the Christmas spirit!

So off to Wigmore Hall for lunch and the concert!  Gravadlax with beetroot to start, with Fishcake to follow...and Pete has Pheasant.. not tried that!

The concert today was Barry Douglas - amazing pianist and the solo artist for today's concert.

He played:
Johannes Brahms..Three Intermezzi Op. 117 and Piano Sonata No. 3 in F minor Op. 5 - great stuff and came back to play a short encore - Brahms Intermezzo, Op 116, No.4.  Such talent!

A very enjoyable Monday.... and on the way back, Pete had his haircut! (He might feel even colder now)

WOW!!! I love your birds!!! Those are great shots. Great captures of them sitting in the park. My favorite is the tree against the sky. I'm a sucker for those pics:)

Chris. Many thanks for your kind comment. The birds are mostly captive birds in the London Parks apart from the Great Tit and Grey Heron and the Egyptian Goose...
