I met a very good friend today and our chosen meeting place was Nymans Gardens... for a walk around the Woodland. We'd been before last September when the trees were still green. But lovely to see it and walk at a different time of the year.
Despite the grey day, it was good to be out and get some exercise. Very muddy so glad we had waterproof shoes!!
View from the Bird hide
The cascades..
and the lake... favourite spot for many Mallards.. :)
and a re-visit to the Kingfisher carving..
Promise of snowdrops
When we were there last time, this tree was clad in scaffolding.... now we know why :D Two wonderful carvings of owls!!
After lunch, Carrot and Corriander soup - very nice and .... a fruit scone (4 out of 5 today) we had a walk around the gardens.
Lots of hellebores every where
and masses of Snowdrops
and Cyclamen
Camelias were in bloom
and Crocuses
and a winter flowering Clematis
New seats!
A lovely morning in good company... thank you IDH :D ..
