Anglesey Abbey... on a warm sunny December day!!

Where to?  we headed off to Anglesey Abbey which is an interesting garden at any time of the year but especially in winter.

A fruity scone on arrival

Snowdrops in flower!!

and in this crazily mild weather.... there were Daffodils in flower!!

Inside the house, it was dressed for a 1960's Christmas..

and incredibly numbers of bees...

and even more incredibly - a Red Admiral butterfly!!!  a bit worn but....

A few roses hanging on..

Around the bird feeders.. a couple of Coal Tits... amongst the usual culprits..

and lunch..... Leek and Potato soup with a cheesy scone.

Lovely day out..... I could get used to these barmy December days..

Good old Mr Ponders! Snowdrops out here, but not seen any daffs. Ceonothus also in flower.
