It was very mild and we set out through the garden shop... looking very festive.
The Christmassy bit of Nymans this year is on a Gilbert & Sullivan them
The Sorcerer was in the Rose Garden.
HMS Pinafore was on the main lawn
The Mikado on top of the viewing point
Dreadful light again which doesn't bring out the colours. Equally, it had suffered a bit in the very strong gales we've had over the last couple of days.
Enlarged detail.. the pink/silver are shiny sweet wrappers
Off through gardens
and then we came to Iolanthe
with trees dressed with Fairy Wings
By now the sky was a bit brighter so off for a very very muddy/boggy walk through the woods - well worth it though
The Owl Sculpture
A two-seater bench
Kingfisher sculpture
and another great sculpture giving home to various fungi
and then - the sun came out!!!
and the 5th one we found... the Gondoliers
Stopped for a bite to eat, chap and a cuppa
Me? the usual fruit scone...
By the time we left it had clouded over again... but great to see the sun even if only for about half an hour
