My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Dreaming....

The curtains are drawn, shutting out the grey sky,

In the open hearth, the warm glow of a log fire throws out soft lights, whilst the evocative scent of woodsmoke fills the room, delighting the senses.

Gentle lighting envelops, bringing much needed comfort and reassurance as you sit curled up in that - so soft - chair.

A glass of wine, sparkling with the fire's lights, begs for your attention which you willingly give, whilst enjoying it's subtle flavours.

You pause from your readings; your attention now held by the magic of music as your thoughts drift......

A sound outside signals his return and he enters the room leaving the swirling rain and wind outside; this done, the soft sounds return and as he takes his place beside you, no words are needed - just contentment in each other's company..........

If only.....................

OK, so I may have stretched the romanticism, but is that all bad? Is it not better than one's grey mood and the reality of a wet and windy afternoon in November when one's birding and photographic plans have been thwarted - LOL!!

Aaww, Tricia, dreams are for those who dream them; or, those who need escape of, or whatever is about.

No reasons necessary darling. I am dreaming above Bantry harbour, the sky black, the lights pink. I've been experimenting with reflective lights in the water, very weird results.
Tomorrow I'll upload them.

Happy dreaming, darling! many more grey dreamy days to come this winter...

To quote Alfred Otto Wols (translated):

Those who are daydreaming have knowledge of a thousand things, which escape those who are only dream while sleeping.
