Spring - has sprung! Testing a lens!

My new lens( the Panasonic 100-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 Lumix G Vario) arrived earlier in the week and today I grabbed an hour locally to go out and test it - using with Panasonic G5.  The local church (the spire of which I can see from my bedroom window) is always a good place for sparrows and insects.

Spring flowers bloomed and the sun shone.  I was only there for about an hour but it was quiet and the sun was warm.

Just a few pics.. only cropped and no further editing.

The scent from the Skimmia was overpowering... lovely :D
The bees seemed to think so as well...

Trees now obviously coming into leaf!

and a Male Chaffinch singing its heart out... just lovely to watch and listen.

I do hope the blue skies and sun last.. really warm if you got out of the wind!
