Murano and a Church.. on our last day.....

It was cold and cloudy when we set off for Murano this morning..... but as the day wore on the clouds went away, the sun came out and the day warmed up....

A short hop away by boat is the island of Murano - famed for its glass.

We caught the usual bus back to the mainland with some pretty impressive views on the way..

Having stopped for a bite to eat... we then visited the church of Santi Gioanni e Paolo - which is stunningly beautiful and, IMHO, much better decoratively than St. Marks!!
