Dunwich Heath & Flatford Meal.... ad a couple of NT Scones..

Decided on spur of moment the day before, that as day was going to be really sunny we'd go up to Dunwich Heath and then on to Flatford.

Saw a Dartford Warbler briefly and a few Stonechats about... but relatively quiet other than that out on the heath...

BUT when we got back to the car park, Linnets were about and somewhat obliging.

and FINALLY not only heard a Cettis but got to see one... I was standing in the wrong place but didn't dare move.. so record shots only... but at least I got to see a Cettis...

The Gorse was amazing in the sunshine and its scent.. rather like honey was delightful

So after the walk, into the cafe to enjoy one of Rob's Scone of the Month - and today was Coconut and Lemon Curd - idea of Jamie's.... well done to both for the most amazing taste experience!!

And so on to Flatford Mill for their scone of the month..

Rhubarb and Ginger... it was a good scone but for me, I would have like a little more fruit & ginger..

Outside from where we were sitting Swallows were ducking and diving, and at this point sitting on a branch just outside the cafe..

So now to Valley Farm... the house is not normally open but today it was... so great to have the opportunity to see some of the inside..
A group of dancers...

Off for a wander

 Residents of the Kitchen Garden..

Great to have posing Swallows..

Beautiful bronze beetle?...

A really lovely day and glorious sunshine... and on the way home, we went to a fav foodie shop for .... some cheese.. yum!!
