Had a long overdue visit to Hatfield Forest.
Usual suspects but nice to know that there are a pair of Great Crested Grebes. Lots of head 'wagging' but no weed dance today
Two Common Terns have taken up residence... and a Pied Wagtail joined them..
Lots of Blackcaps (no pic) singing and Common Whitethroats
And then, darting through the bushes and finally landing.... two Linnets..
The sun was shining which brought out the lovely colours of the male Mallard..
A young coot having lunch
Lovely in the sunshine and great to see the Linnets... (thanks for the ID Pete..)
