Great day today; Pete's down visiting for a day or so and today we started off by visiting Wooldbeding NT Gardens. You can't drive to the Gardens as there is no room to park but you can join the free mini bus service from Midhurst. You can, of course, always walk but.....
Needless to say we were early so we had a stroll around the pond. A family of Canada Geese Goslings..
A Rook gazed from its lofty perch
and a family of Mallard ducklings..
and we duly arrived in Woolbeding.. The gardens were gifted to the Trust in 1958
Needless to say, Mr Ponders (and Mr. Quacks) came with us and of course appeared in one or two pictures.. :)
We had a scone for lunch which was very nice.. and scores a healthy 4 out o 5..
and after leaving there we went onto Petworth Park ... but that's for another day.
An excellent visit to beautiful gardens... great to see it in Spring as the last visit (our second) was in Summer.
