Audley End in sunshine

Today I wanted to experiment with a certain camera so off to Audley End.  The sun was shining when we arrived - glorious

A flock of about 80 ish Canada Geese..

and one Greylag

Anyone any ideas about this fungi? ..

A cuppa and a scone... which was very pleasant..

By the time we'd had tea the sun had gone down noticably and subsequently the light wasn't that good..

Lovely afternoon out though ....

Wondering if the fungus is jew's ear - or jelly ear as I think folk call it now!

Hi Anne and thanks for your comment.. Black swans originate in Australia and not native to our country... they are mostly captive birds here.... but some have escaped and now form small colonies..

Simon.. thanks for the suggestion.. I shall have a google. Never seen this fungi before...

Hi Tricia

The fungus isn't Jelly Ear, it could be Cellar Cup, but it isn't one I am familiar with.

Cheers

Maurice

Thanks Bill... never seen one like this before. I'll continue looking..

And the pic of jelly ear suggested a different shape than the one I saw - Simon..
