My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

More like April than January at Widewater Lagoon

I was meeting my daughter and grandson today, so left early and went to Widewater.  One minute sunshine, the next minute very black clouds followed by torrential rain, then back again to sunshine... crazy weather.  Mostly the light was dreadful so record shots only today.

Most of the usual culprits

Little Egret

One of about 7 Little Grebes

One solitary Redshank..

and a pair of Red Breasted Mergansers on the west end of the lagoon.

The sea was reasonably calm... but the sky was black..

The family of 9 Mute Swans is still in residence...

Good to have some fresh air...
