After travelling yesterday, we decided to walk around the city wall... it's wonderful to see the city from the height of the wall and such a relaxing place to be.
Lots of cyclists and those running to get exercise.. plus just people enjoying a Sunday morning...
Just outside our hotel on the other side of the street..
We looked out and Pete spotted a Little Egret sitting up in a tree.
Crowded isn't it?... ;)
a distant hazy view of the mountains..
From our viewpoint, the Duomo
We made a detour to the Botanic Gardens
and then back up to the city wall
and then another detour to the Piazza San Frediano for a coffee...
and an outside look at the church
The Palazzo Pfanner
back to the hotel briefly - Bicycles for the use of guests... we didn't take up the offer ;)
Street entertainers passed on our walk to find lunch
and it's lunch time in the Piazza Anfiteatro
and then into the garden of the Palazzo Pfanner
and so pleased to spot this Geranium Bronze (I think!!) butterfly...
We went inside the San Michelle in Fono church
back to the hotel and then out to eat... and take some pics (the San Michelle church) as the moon had risen...
