But did manage to get out for a walk late morning so off to Petworth.. I had to park in the overflow car park so approached the lake in house in a different direction from normal.
Pity the light was so bad but nonetheless..
"Hmm" said Mr Ponders & Fido, "don't think we fancy a swim today".. but it's a good view..
Only a few birds about.. Mallards, Tufties, Gulls, Moorhens, one solitary Greylag and a few coots
The cloud was lifting a little..
a couple of Fallow Bucks... only deer I saw that were (relatively) close...
Messrs Ponders & Fido on standby duty... just in case ;)
No cuppa or scone today.. timing was wrong and, given its half-term, there was a bit of a queue ..

Would have been a good day for a swim, looks mirror flat!
It was.. mirror flat - not a hint of a breeze... but plenty of warning signs about aglae being bad for animal's and human's health!!
