and having been met at a station by a very good friend, we headed off for Polesden
The light was dreadful by now .. and we went for a very long walk - about 6 kilometres. We had to turn back at one point, as the notices on the gate of the field warned of a bull.. as we'd already heard one lengthy clap of thunder which could have spooked said bull... we decided to change our route; neither of us feeling like being chases.
Loads of flutters en rough... lovely to see this Comma..
A Kestrel entertained us flying for a while before settling in a far away tree... only point and shoot camera today..
Spot the Kestrel!!
and after our very long walk, a bite to eat and a much welcome cuppa
and then, despite the rain, we headed off for a walk around the Rose Garden..
A great day out, in spite of the weather. By the time I got back to my local station it was tipping it down... but great to be out nonetheless!!

Hi Tricia
I hope that you are on the mend.
Your "Copper", I think that you meant to say "Comma",
Cheers
Maurice
