We'd been recommended to visit Farfield Mill which is a mixture of the old mill combined with crafters - ranging from those making their own jewellery to weavers. It was fairly quiet but there was one weaver at her loom. Also able to go down to the main mill turbine. Unfortunately the area where the two very big looms are was not in action today.
After a cuppa, we headed off for Coniston Lake... we were in a spot where there really wasn't a lake side walk so it was a brief visit
We were heading back when I decided to stop at Brathay on the river, for a wander. Last time I was there were Goosanders on the river..
Today the water levels were so low I doubt if birds could really have landed.
We ended the day with a visit to St Oswalds Church in Grasmere, where William Wordsworth is buried
Wordsworth's grave stone
Another really lovely day..
