My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

RHS Wisley.... many changes since my last visit

A robin who would just NOT face the camera.

As you enter, the new wisteria tunnel... with topiaried trees either side.. it's going to look great when a bit more mature and in bloom!

A little bit of Italy?

A black cloud appeared.. it was to remain cloudy for the rest of the time we were there; but it was really great to feel cooler in a refreshing breeze!

A rather "grey" Robin - who would not turn round to face the camera..

Lots of new planting near the Glasshouse!

We stopped for lunch at the The Honest Sausage Cafe.. and this was our companion!

Through the Arboretum -the Heather beds have been, and are being, completely re-shaped and replanted

and from the Bird Hide, lots of young Blue & Great Tits

and a new cafe at the end of the Arboretum which opened 6 weeks ago.

Great to sit and admire the view..

and a wander along the river..

Round by the pond, a single Mallard duckling!!

A great day out with great company :)
