Wray Castle & a cruise on Windemere Lake 10 July 2018


Today's day out was firstly a return visit to Wray Castle.  In the conservatory a Swallow fledgling was perched

We started with a tour of the house.  The house does not have any of the original contents so is veer informal.










And then a slow wander along the lakeside to the jetty















We boarded the ferry to go over to Ambleside


















We sat and had an ice cream nefbef vatchcat the ferry and then driving back to the hotel.

Long time since I was in the lake district, my father's side of the family are from Cumbria but the coastal area.
