Sorrento Day 2 - after the rain...

Woke much later than usual this morning... to the sound of pattering rain.  However, down to excellent brekkie in the hotel looking out over the Bay of Naples..... lovely even in the rain.

We decided to have a day discovering Sorrento... so off we went.  It had stopped raining but still a bit dull and over cast.

Sorrento is a great lemon-producing area and Limoncillo a famous digestive drink... I've had it in the past... very nice..

This is a wall of an entrance to a building, which is now a working men's club!

We went further around the town and away from the hustle & bustle of the main touristy areas.  This bay is a working fishing harbour... and signs of that everywhere.

Lunch... to begin with

and lunch... lovely Pasta with Clams and Parmesan with a Tomato side salad (shared)

Seems sensibly sized  bottles ..

There were a couple of weddings.... the rather elegant MG was the car at one of them..

and yet another Hummingbird Hawk Moth... this time managed to get better pics.. 

A wonderfully relaxing day out - and dining in at the hotel again tonight :D ...
