Petworth and Warnham LNR - plus a Nymans Scone..

Bit of a mixed day today.  I started out at Petworth... loads of Fieldfares and Redwings...

The sun went not long after I got there.  There was a Christmas Craft Fair on but I just wanted some exercise - which I got.

Record shot only

Mr Ponders eying his relatives..

Then popped over to Nymans for a scone and cuppa for lunch (Petworth's restaurant is close for a refurb and only the coffee shop open) - very good as usual

and from there - as the sun had finally come out I went home via Warnham LRN.

All the usual suspects -

the Kingfisher made a brief appearance but didn't stop for a photo

And lovely to see a Roe Deer - female (I think) .. was very distant

Around by the feeders it was very busy

An obliging Nuthatch....

And as I walked back to the visitor centre, I walked with a guy who's just picked up a dead Grass Snake... the snake's eye was very clear so...... hope for the guys snake it wasn't just sleeping...
