My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Paycockes House & Garden.. dodging the rain!!

After the sun and warmth of Pisa yesterday... today was somewhat different.. but very good nonetheless.

Went to Paycockes today... lovely blue skies and sun.... interrupted by the odd very heavy, and sometimes hail, showers!  We were lucky as it waited until we'd left before tipping down.

Paycockes was a Tudor merchant's house (amongst others) in 1512 with associations with the cloth trade, wool and lace.

Woolen cloth associated with Coggleshall......

This picture was removed last year... but now back again..

The area is also know for Lavender.. this will be lovely later in the year when in bloom!
