Scotney Castle. a favourite place to visit

After our rather foggy visit to Bateman's in the morning, we headed off to the nearby Scotney Castle.. a place I visited many times over the years, but I still never tire of the beautiful views..

Given it was lunchtime when we arrived, we had a cuppa and the 'scone of the month' .. lemon and poppy seed.. it was excellent!

and was wonderful to see blue skies and sunshine!!
