Verona - First day - a taster of things to come

Up at silly o'clock and off to the airport - arrived in Verona in glorious sunshine... quickly got rid of coat etc. and set off for a wander.

Birds seen today : Cragmartin, Swallow, Mallard, Grey Wagtail, heard Chiff chaff, and Hooded Crow... and some usual....

and flowers








and a glass of Prosecco with lunch...we've arrived!!

Looks fabulous. As a CLassicist it always seems crazy I've never been to Italy.

Simon - whilst I don't know your tastes, then as a classicist you would love it here... Italy's so full of culture, history and colour - my favourite county....
