Had to go over Widewater Lagoon way for some essential supplies but then visited the Lagoon after that.
I'd just got kitted up when a 'friend' from Facebook introduced himself. Nice to meet you Gary... and thanks for showing me the Kingfisher 'perches'
Fairly quiet today... a few Little Grebes, a total of 16 Teal, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Turnstones, 1 Redshank and several gulls, nearly all Black-Headed, 1 Kestrel.
Of the 9 Mute Swans today there were 6 and the cobb was definitely into trying to get the youngsters to leave..
One of the Little Grebes
One of the 2 Turnstones
Little Egret with Redshank
Mute swans..
Redshank
and just as I'd got to the car and was packing away my camera, the Kestrel appeared..
Not the best of shots photographically, but surprised how well my camera coped with a diving Kestrel
A pleasant time in the sun..... which is something that won't be around very much over the next 2-3 days according to the forecast.
