National Trust at Chartwell and Petworth

Didn't know where to go today.. it was cloudy and dull when I set off but the forecast promised sunshine

I headed off to Chartwell... and the sun shone!!

Pity it was a slightly longer journey due to a road being closed, but fortunately the M23/M25 were behaving themselves.. at least when I was on them.... some others weren't so lucky...

I'd got there very early and by the time I'd had a wander, it was still too early for lunch so I headed off home .. and on the spur of the moment popped into Petworth for a scone... excellent as usual... and a short wander.
