Sorrento Day 6 - on our way home...

Where did the last 6 days ago... seems only yesterday we landed at Naples Airport and now it's our final day........

We decided to go back to the Grande Marina - a good walk, great scenery and relaxed atmosphere/

The shops are very colourful...

A boat pulled in to take on a passenger  .....

One of the fisherman with today's catch for serving in the cafe where we'd had lunch the other day

Mr Ponders gazes out to sea... rather likes the relaxed atmosphere here.....

We popped in to a local church..

Mount Vesuvius - we never got a really clear view of it..

Street musician

Looking towards the port..

and gazing over the sea...

Ah well.... time for lunch ...

A small bottle of vino...

with lunch - last one in the hotel.

after  a leisurely lunch  - during which we spotted a Swallowtail...

eventually a final stroll around the gardens...

Don't know what this plant is.. but the flowers are beautiful...

and then time to get our cases and, for me, to change out of Iralian type clothing and into something more appropriate for October in the UK.. we headed off back to the station to get the bus to the airport

As we boarded the plane later, the rain had started.  Well we'd managed to avoid it during out stay despite the forecast of it.
I
A very relaxing holiday....... will I go back? One day perhaps... think it will stay on the revisit list!

If return to Capri I would wish to head off to Anacapri....

And so the next holiday...... guess which county... ;)

Lovely fresh fish, and fruit and veg by the looks of things. Not sure what fresh produce ponders will find.

Lovely series of photos Tricia - sounds like a wonderful holiday.

Am still mystified by the butterfly - very distinctive under wings but I can't find it in my book!
