Scotney Castle and Bodiam Castle

Not really able to get anywhere now until next weekend.. (and that will be a new area for the blog) ... on the spur of the moment I decided to visit Bodiam Castle ... it's not somewhere that takes all day so I started off at the lovely house and gardens of Scotney Castle

The sun was shining so I just strolled around the gardens and lakes.. it was lovely.. so warm..

Mr Ponder thinks its now one of his favourites..

Mr Ponders, Billie and Belinda sat in the sun an watched over the lake..

needless to say Billie found a tree to climb !!

and into the Quarry

Work going on at the back of the house..

and a really excellent Scotney Castle scone...

and from there, not far to Bodiam Castle... where Dave the Bodiam Duck lives... two of the NT meeters and greeters..

Mallards Rule at Bodiam..

and we decided that this was probably Dave the Duck.. but .. we could easily be wrong..

Whata wonderful place Scotney is, round towers on the water and a sort of mini boat house. Or duck shelter. Ponders would know.
