Misty time at Winkworth Arboretum (revisited) and Petworth

I needed to go back to Winkworth.. something I needed to do, but that aside in the very murky mist, I went for a wander... just a short walk this time.

En route to the Boathouse

Out on the lake, a Little Grebe (just a record shot... but...)

Over the lake, from the Boathouse

the two resident farm yard geese

on the Balcony of the Boathouse

and then up the Azalea steps

and at the top back to the visitor centre .. and car park..

It was a bit early for lunch when I had finished at Winkworth, to had a detour on the way home, via Petworth Park

and the usual lunch...

before a short wander through plenty of Autumn colour still

and Mr Ponders and Fido found their friend Mr. Moley..

A tree-climbing Fido... Mr Ponders was not happy trying to balance on such thin branches..

Despite the mist, was good to get out for a bit of exercise... needed to get out somewhere today.. :)

I really don't like it when the clocks go back; find it difficult to adjust to having an extra hour... and additionally the afternoons get dark too soon.. hey ho.. not long till March :D

That's a beautiful day despite, and because of the mist. The pictures are great. The little grebe, as they always are, crazily over buoyant tail-less oddities.
