We caught the bus to the train station and then onwards to Spello... blue skies again and warmth
Santa Maria Maggiore - no pictures inside
Oooh a Serin...
A carpenter bee I believe
Then we came to Santa Maria dei Vallegloria - a nunnery... the very kind nuns welcomed us in and I asked where the WC was that was marked on the map.. it didn't exist but very kindly I was shown to their own... a very kind nun who spoke good English was interested to know where we came from etc. etc
A slice of pizza and a cold drink sitting in the gardens..
and finally homewards to go out again in the evening...
you find this horse head on the escalator run up to the old town
ooooh cakes!!
and dinner in the Restaurant Ferrari

Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday Tricia - some lovely photos :)
The views, churches and architecture look really beautiful and the food and wine looks rather good too :)
I did enjoy seeing all of the beautiful rolling streets and architecture
I love the way they hang the flower pots from the sides of the buildings. The cakes in the window look divine. Wonderful shots.
Terry - thank you - was a great time
OC - clever those hanging pots.. wonder how they water them though!
